Who Can Import
Individual Patients
Patients with a valid prescription from a registered medical practitioner can import medications for personal use.

Healthcare Institutions
Hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies can import larger quantities for patient care, subject to obtaining an Import Permit from NAFDAC.

Required Documentation
For Individuals
- Valid government-issued ID (e.g., National ID, passport)
- Medical prescription from a licensed Nigerian physician
- Letter stating the medical need and unavailability of the drug locally
- Proof of residence
- NAFDAC approval letter for personal importation
For Institutions
- Facility license or registration certificate
- Purchase order or request letter
- NAFDAC import permit
- Certificate of analysis
- Invoice, Packing list and airway bill
